Doctoral research
My doctoral work examines how rural landowners navigate tensions between capital and place in their stewardship decisions, and how collaborative governance arrangements can support more just and sustainable outcomes.
Rooted in human geography, my research sits at the intersection of political ecology, rural studies, and governance theory. I draw on qualitative and mixed methods — including interviews, participatory approaches, and document analysis — to explore how people make environmental decisions within the social, economic, and institutional contexts that shape their lives.
